Mirrors don’t always have to be made of glass or shiny, high luster materials. Mirrors can be made from anything, as long as they display the “reflection.” Here we see Daniel Rozin with a special wooden mirror that he made. A camera receives input imagery from its video source and then feeds data to a computer, which translates the picture into single pixel movements of 830 wooden blocks. This creates a monochrome black and white styled reflection image. Very neat!

Finally, this is what you’ve been waiting for: a web browser that allows you to surf the net in 3D style! Here comes SpaceTime, the 3D Web Browser! This application is basically a program that allows users to browse through the internet by displaying multiple web pages or search in a row, lining into the “horizon” of the browser. Users could then “flip” through the web pages/searches by using different navigation tools. In addition to flipping, the arrow keys can be used to navigate through the internet sky terrain! A certain web page could be displayed fully by double clicking on the cached page image in the row. I suspect that SpaceTime uses an Internet Explorer base for its browsing powers because I received some pop ups from annoying sites in IE mode. Anyways, SpaceTime is in BETA and is all FREE! Like the previously mentioned vixy.net, vConvert.net also offers free online YouTube video conversions. Basically, you enter the YouTube URL and then choose the type of output. Convert options include: Windows (.wmv); Mac (.mov); iPod, PSP, iPhone (.mov); Mobile Cell Phone/Device (.3pg); Audio/Music (.mp3); and Flash (.flv). After choosing the convert mode, you simply press the “Convert and Download” button. The server will convert the YouTube video into your output choice and then present your converted video with a nice download. This is just like vixy.net… So write us a response and tell us what you think. Do you prefer vixy or vConvert?

OVGuide (Online Video Guide) offers us one of the best media center available. At this site, you can browse around and click links to other sites that actually contain the latest movies, videos, tv shows, music videos, anime shows, etc. All of this is of course free! OVGuide also has a google search box in which you can search for the video you want to watch. Since this site and the links this site gives may lead to movies that are just out, or perhaps still in theaters, I am not sure of the legalities of this website. Overall, you can find what you want to watch without downloading any software or applications, except for perhaps DivX and the default Flash Player. Best of all, it is absolutely all FREE!
