Like the previously mentioned Zamzar and MediaConverter, You Convert it is another great web based application for converting media files and much more. It takes conversion a step higher by allowing not just media conversions, but also direct file sharing, unlimited single upload size, and also a nifty unit measurement converter.
Almost all the media and document file types are supported. This includes those for the PSP, iPod, iPhone, MP3 players, 3GP phones, PDF files, etc. English and Metric unit conversions are also supported, including volumetric, area, acceleration, torque, force, mass, velocity, etc.
You Convert it is a great free web application for those seeking a quick conversion with out the hassle of downloading any software or program. The process exists right on your browser but happens through their servers. It is great for making all your different documents, videos, music, pictures, and units be compatible with each other. Notice, however, that this application is in BETA, so it is not without flaws. Cheers!

There are plenty of great BitTorrent directory sites and search engines. Among theme are the popular Mininova, Demonoid, Pirate Bay, TorrentSpy (once great but now sucks because it doesn’t allow U.S. based searches anymore), and plenty of other websites. However, non matches ScrapeTorrent, a torrent search engine that searches on all the directories of the most popular BitTorrent websites. Quote from ScrapeTorrent.com:

AllPeers is an excellent free Mozilla Firefox extension tool for file sharing and chatting. It utilizes the fast BitTorrent network to facilitate its quick file sharing. However, unlike tradition torrent engines, All Peers DOES NOT require any ports to be opened to adjust the transferring speed. In addition, it requires no other downloads except for the Firefox add-on web application. Thus, AllPeers can also be incorporated as a portable file transferring application if installed on Firefox Portable. These are significant advantages over torrent engines, email file sharing, or any other methods. -Cheng Chen
Forget email, BitTorrent, and instant messaging applications; you won’t find a better program than this. It works within the Firefox browser (an Internet Explorer version is not yet available) and thus requires no other external software. Folders can be set up to indicate specific files and to specify who has access to these files. Peers/sharers can also be notified when the files are ready. In addition to data, web pages can also be shared along with the normal media files. You will be able to view any media files you receive from other people inside Firefox.
