Transfer and Share Files in Firefox with AllPeers

AllPeers LogoAllPeers is an excellent free Mozilla Firefox extension tool for file sharing and chatting. It utilizes the fast BitTorrent network to facilitate its quick file sharing. However, unlike tradition torrent engines, All Peers DOES NOT require any ports to be opened to adjust the transferring speed. In addition, it requires no other downloads except for the Firefox add-on web application. Thus, AllPeers can also be incorporated as a portable file transferring application if installed on Firefox Portable. These are significant advantages over torrent engines, email file sharing, or any other methods. -Cheng Chen

AllPeers FeaturesForget email, BitTorrent, and instant messaging applications; you won’t find a better program than this. It works within the Firefox browser (an Internet Explorer version is not yet available) and thus requires no other external software. Folders can be set up to indicate specific files and to specify who has access to these files. Peers/sharers can also be notified when the files are ready. In addition to data, web pages can also be shared along with the normal media files. You will be able to view any media files you receive from other people inside Firefox. It is simply the easiest and best way of sharing files. -Jiayue Liu [Feed Elite New Employee (First Article)]

Quote: “AllPeers is a free software extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser. The extension allows building a social network and sharing files on a P2P basis. It uses a darknet style of peer-to-peer communication; files and information shared between users are only accessible as long as the users have each other on their respective access lists - their ‘trusted private network’. AllPeers beta version was launched on August 24, 2006, and is still currently in development. It works on Windows, Linux and Mac, which, once downloaded, becomes a toolbar in Mozilla Firefox.” AllPeers [Wikipedia]
